PalinDuringKuwaitVisit The popular question being asked, thanks to Daniel Younger in the Wall Street Journal, is: “What Republican reformer, avid hunter and outdoor-person, parent of a number of children, tackled corruption in their own party, was under 45 years old, and ran for Vice-President?” The answer, of course, is Teddy Roosevelt. The difference though between Teddy and Governor Sarah Palin is that no reporter ever asked him how he could have such a large family and manage his job at the same time. No Presidential candidate ever called Teddy Roosevelt “a Moose-Shooter” in a sarcastic, derisive tone like Senator Barack Obama recently did while speaking in Pennsylvania . Instead Roosevelt was acclaimed for being a mighty hunter and conservationist.

But worse, much worse, I cannot believe that during a speech on Tuesday, September 9 that Barack Obama, a candidate for President of the USA made the comment, “You can put lipstick on a pig, and it is still a pig.” This remark was no accident coming one week after Sarah Palin’s very popular ad-lib during the Republican National Convention when her teleprompter went out, wherein she talked about lipstick being the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull. That is an inappropriate, inexcusable, and totally classless remark by a Presidential candidate. Democrats in droves should call Barack Obama out for that remark, because I do not believe it is a comment any serious democrat would ever approve of saying about any woman running for political office. When Obama made the remark he even paused after grinning, while clearly playing the crowd, and saying, “You can put lipstick on a pig,” while the audience all around him started laughing and clapping before he delivered the punch-line. Sure, he can try to excuse himself by claiming that is an old saying, but the timing was very clear and unmistakable. Any democrat or any person who tries to justify Obama’s horrendous sexist remark is either in total denial or just plain stupid.

Then his running mate, Joe Biden in an almost equally-classless statement was recorded on a personal camcorder stating that Governor Palin running for the Vice Presidency “is a major step backwards for women.”

The Obama-Biden Campaign has sent a team of 30 attorneys and investigators to Alaska to dig up every speck of dirt they can find on Sarah Palin. Liberal blogs have been crucifying her with lies and innuendo. Liberal newspapers, TV news reporters, and magazines have been printing or saying horrible lies and gossip about her. I wanted to throw a book at the TV when I saw Bill O’Reilly soft-peddle it with so-called journalist Sally Quinn after he chastised her for slandering Governor Palin, and then gave her a free pass when she responded by saying that Sarah Palin has five children and one is special needs and she wants to know if Sarah Palin is going to put her country first or her family first. John McCain is a republican and has seven children, but Ms. Quinn never has mentioned that she wants to know if he will put his family first or country first. I have yet to hear any media person make such a remark about the size of a male candidate’s family, but I have heard many liberal commentators and left-leaning reporters hail Senator Joe Biden as a hero for taking care of his surviving children as a single father after the sad and unexpected death of his wife and daughter. Michelle Obama was crying over the story, yet nobody ever asked him if he could perform his duties while also being a single father. Why have several so-called news-people made such remarks about Governor Palin? They are clearly and totally sexist and inappropriate remarks.

Why are the democrats and their liberal followers in such a state of panic over a Vice Presidential candidate? The answer is simple: Governor Sarah Palin was the missing piece of the puzzle most Americans; democrats, independents, and republicans were looking for in this election. Sarah Palin is the answer.

I always told my kids when others were gossiping about them or attacking them, that “you can always tell the success or power of a man or woman by the amount of dogs nipping at their heels.” What people like Governor Palin’s detractors forgot was that it is very unwise, actually very stupid, to nip at the heels of a pitbull. When they end up getting chewed to pieces they have only themselves to blame.
