As the people are protesting a $250 Million dollar cut in the budget for the three Arizona State Universities, I decided to do a little research. The best I can gather is, that all three receive about ONE BILLION DOLLARS each. That’s 3 BILLION DOLLARS.
As I examine the salaries it is easy to see why. The salary of a Professor varies between $110,000 and $127,000 per year.
Let’s put that in perspective. A long haul truck driver makes about $60,000 a year.
A Pilot who has the lives of hundreds of passengers in his hands for South West Airlines starts at $42,960 per year. If he stays for 10 years he will be earning $159,000.
A Fireman who who saves lives in Phoenix starts at $41,916 per year and a Policeman starts at $45,094. These people SAVE LIVES!
Senators Kyl and McCain earn $174,000 a year. A Federal Judge who has the power to sentence people to death earns $169,300 a year.
Without the lowly truck driver bringing you the goods you need…you starve. Without the Fire and Police Departments you have no protection.
Tell me how you validate paying some Liberal Indoctrination Expert at The University of Arizona $127,000 a year?
$250 Million Dollars sounds like a lot of money, but when you spread that out over a 3 BILLION DOLLAR budget…it is not that bad.
U of A Professors are above the National Average.

People are going to have to cut back, and that means everybody…even Liberal Indoctrination Experts.
The gravy train needs to slow down. They need to trim the fat out of U of A and get things in line more with reality.
Today 800 people showed up to protest at Arizona’s Board of Regents this afternoon at the University of Arizona. Why? If you spread that $250 Million dollars around, what would it mean? Maybe $5,000 a year less on their salaries? So they don’t make $127,000…can’t they adjust to living on a mere $122,000? It is disgusting what these gravy train riders expect the American people to pay for.
If they can’t survive on their salaries I’d be glad to teach them to drive trucks…and they can see how real Americans live who work for a living. They may not be able to afford their European Vacations…but they’ll know what it’s like to really work for a change.
