Guns and Church

Since I identify with the people who fall into Barrack Obama’s elitist description about of people of faith who keep firearms I’m not very happy with Barrack Obama’s recent remarks.

He said something to the effect that us rednecks cling to our guns and our religion when we get frustrated and I would like to take umbrage to these remarks. My faith goes much deeper than his superficial explanation and I love my guns even when I’m not frustrated.

And I am not by myself. I was going to church and shooting guns before Mr. Obama was even born and come from a long line of good people who have been doing it for generations.

To me this latest Obama blunder only helps reveal the depth of condescension the far left wing of the Democrat party has for the folks out here in flyover country.

Mr. Obama’s remarks are insulting to a lot of folks. It’s kind of like Abraham Lincoln said, “God must love the common people because he made so many of them”.

His remarks make me think that Obama doesn’t know the people of this country very well. I’m sure he knows the jet set and the Hollywood bunch, the limousine liberals and the save the whales, kill the babies crowd, but does he think that the ordinary people don’t count? Does he think that they’re so stupid that they don’t know who he’s talking about when he says these things? Does he think their opinions aren’t important? Apparently.

How can a man stand in front of America and tell people what he wants to do for them and have so little respect for a whole segment of the population. In fact, a very large segment. Does that mean that he would only represent the high-minded liberal ideals of the far left and ignore the rest of us?

What kind of Commander and Chief would he make if he doesn’t respect the very people who make up the lion’s share of the armed forces.

You may say I’m over reacting, but I’m getting sick and tired of him making these elitist statements and saying that he had been taken out of context or some other flimsy excuse.

After his wife’s remark about not being proud of this country and his pastor’s statements calling America the U.S.K.K.K.A. and his own statement about not wanting his daughter punished with a baby, it makes me wonder what kind of a man Obama really is and what kind of a president he’d make.

Would he be an anti-gun advocate pushing the effort to take the firearms out of innocent citizen’s hands? Would he not respect the religious beliefs of America, not taking them into account in his agenda?

I really don’t know much about the man and neither does America. He basically came from out of nowhere and as the facts come out little by little, they don’t make a particularly confident picture.

I have a great fear that if our military gets broken by another president, this time we’re not going to have time to fix it again and what that spells for America, I don’t even want to contemplate.

Oh well, I guess I’ll grab my gun and go to church.

The McCain Family

Here are some things you may not know about Cindy McCain. She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher.

After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.

They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate.
She is involved around the world clearing land mines – travels to these
countries on a detonation team and service on their board.

They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq , another son in the Naval Academy ,
a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ. , an adopted daughter in
high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.

She raised kids in Phoenix , AZ rather than Washington DC(Better atmosphere) while her husband commuted. In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh . Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband. The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems.

The McCain’s have a Family Foundation for children’s causes. She’s active with ‘Halo Trust’ – to clear land mines, provide water and food in war ravaged and developing countries.

She will join an overseas mission of ‘Operation Smile’, a charity for corrective surgery on children’s faces.

She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers.She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery process.

Now, compare that with what Barack “Hussein” Obama said in his book, The Audacity of Hope”Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Which clearly spoken means….I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction…..

THE AWAY GAME:

First year cadets at the Air Force Academy are allowed to leave the Academy without penalty up through the end of first-year Christmas break. Those who came back were assigned to write a paper on why they chose to return. Here is one young cadet’s masterpiece, which has begun to be widely publicized.

Why return to the Air Force Academy after Winter Break?

So after our sunburns have faded and the memories of our winter break have been reduced to pictures we’ve pinned on our desk boards, and once again we’ve exchanged T-shirts and swim suits for flight suits and camouflage, there still remains the question that every cadet at U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs has asked themselves at some point: Why did we come back? Why, after spending two weeks with our family would we return to one of the most demanding lifestyles in the country? After listening to our ‘friends’ who are home from State or Ivy League schools chock full of wisdom about how our war in Iraq is unjust and unworldly, why would we return?

And after watching the news and reading the papers which only seem to condemn the military’s every mistake and shadow every victory, why would we continue to think it is worth the sacrifice of a normal college life?

Is it because the institution to which we belong is tuition-free?
Anyone who claims this has forgotten that we will, by the time we graduate, repay the US taxpayer many times over in blood, sweat, and tears. Is it because the schooling we are receiving is one of the best
undergraduate educations in the country? While the quality of the education is second to none, anyone who provides this as a main reason has lost sight of the awesome responsibility that awaits those who are tough enough to graduate and become commissioned officers in the U.S. Air Force.

I come back to the Academy because I want to have the training necessary so that one day I’ll have the incredible responsibility of leading the sons and daughters of America in combat. These men and women will never ask about my Academy grade point average. Their only concern will be that I have the ability to lead them expertly. I will be humbled to earn their respect.

I come back to the Academy because I want to be the commander who saves lives by speaking with Arab leaders…in their own language.
I come back to the Academy because, if called upon, I want to be the pilot who flies half way around the world with three mid-air refuelings to send a bomb from 30,000 feet into a basement housing the enemy… through a ventilation shaft two feet wide. Becoming an officer in today’s modern Air Force is so much more than just command; it is being a diplomat, a strategist, a communicator, a moral compass, but always a warrior first.

I come back to the Air Force Academy because, right now, the United States is fighting a global war that is an ‘away game’ in Iraq – taking the fight to the terrorists. Whether or not we think the terrorists were in Iraq before our invasion, they are unquestionably there now. And if there is any doubt as to whether this is a global war, just ask the people in Amman, in London, in Madrid, in Casablanca, in Riyadh, and in Bali.

This war must remain an away game because we have seen what happens when it becomes a home game… I come back to the Academy because I want to be a part of that fight. I come back to the Academy because I don’t want my vacationing family to board a bus in Paris that gets blown away by someone who thinks that it would be a good idea to convert the Western world to Islam.

I come back to the Academy because I don’t want the woman I love to be the one who dials her last frantic cell phone call while huddled in the back of an airliner with a hundred other people seconds a way from slamming into the Capitol building.

I come back to the Academy because during my freshman year of high school I sat in a geometry class and watched nineteen terrorists change the course of history live on television. For the first time, every class currently at a U.S. Service Academy made the decision to join after the 2001 terror attacks.

Some have said that the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan only created more terrorists. I say that the attacks of September 11th, 2001 created an untold more number of American soldiers; I go to school with 4,000 of them. And that’s worth more than missing a few frat parties.

The Boston Herald reported on Nov 12, 2007 the New England (Cheaters) Patriots left many soldiers and their families very unhappy. It seems the New England Cheaters did not show up like they promised and meet with Military Veterans and their families. The Soldiers had received invitations to come have lunch with The New England Patriots…”food will be provided and the opportunity to meet and take pictures with some of the New England Patriots Players will also be available.”

Not one single (Un)Patriot showed up, and left many soldiers and their families very disappointed. It is not enough that the Patriots are known world wide for being the biggest bunch of cheaters on the planet…but they have shown they are very selfish and do not support Our Soldiers.

Why am I writing this? Because this kind of information is hushed up often, and does not make the National News. If I hadn’t been in land of Adam & Steve and picked up a newspaper that day, I’d have never heard about it.

Why did I use Ron “The Texas Troll” Pauls picture. Maybe because the man claims to be a Patriot and defend the constitution…yet he admits he wants to change just about everything in it.

Ron Paul and The New England Patriots…just a bunch of cheaters who intend to do anything they must, to win… Myself…I think they are all loser scumbags. The Patriots should not be allowed to use the name…since they are not patriotic at all.
